Structural Reinforcement & Restoration Project

Constructed in 1876, the Library of Parliament has been renovated a number of times, with the last major renovations occurring between 2002-2006.

Multicrete Systems Inc. was entrusted with the structural reinforcement of one of Canada’s most famous historical landmarks. Multicrete deployed a team of senior engineers and shotcreting technicians to accomplish this task.

The Library of Parliament is one of the most famous historical architectural sites in Canada.

From the weather vane to the sub-basement level, the entire structure required extensive repairs and upgrades.

The Primary Contractor in charge of this massive undertaking was Thomas Fuller Construction. Multicrete’s was called upon as a Sub-contractor to supply it’s knowledge and mechanical expertise in the Shotcreting field, to assist with several portions of the project.

Multicrete was awarded the contract for shotcreting of the library’s basement sub-levels and newly constructed lower level.
