Dramix® Steel Fibre
Dramix steel fibers are glued together in bundles.
- The water soluble Dramix bundles are the only real guarantee of obtaining a homogeneous distribution of high performance steel fibers without special equipment and without considerably increasing the mixing time.
- The glue specially developed allows the use of Dramix steel wire fibers with high L/D ratios in bundles for wet as well as for dry spraying.
- The Dramix steel fibers can be added to the mixer or the batching equipment – either on site or at the ready mix plant – or in dry packed mortars delivered in big bags or in silos.
- Dramix steel wire fibers can be added with automatic dosing and dispensing equipment.
Technical Advantages
- The homogeneous reinforcement gives a resistance to tensile stresses at any point in the shotcrete layer.
- An increase of load-bearing capacity due to the redistribution of stresses.
- The removal of the mesh increases the bond of the shotcrete to the surface.
- Excellent corrosion resistance. The use of Dramix instead of mesh results in a good quality homogeneously reinforced concrete. A high degree of density and impermeability prevents the formation of water passages. Despite the eventual appearance of rust spots on the surface, no spalling will occur in the concrete. If aesthetics are a major concern a flash coat of unreinforced shotcrete can be applied.
- Excellent control of cracks due to shrinkage and temperature gradients.
Economic Advantages
- Allows the shotcrete for the follow the contours of the resulting in a consistent thickness, which provides a significant reduction in shotcrete consumption.
- The use of Dramix reinforced shotcrete minimizes losses due to rebound.
- The elimination of the need to install mesh and the reduction in the time for which the lifting equipment is needed results in a reduction of cycle times and overall costs.
- The elimination of the difficult and even dangerous job of installing mesh considerably increases safety at work site.

Grace Fibers TM
Description
Grace Fibers TM are synthetic fibers for concrete, manufactured from 100% virgin polypropylene in collated, fibrillated form. Designed specifically for use in concrete, they are alkali resistant, non-absorptive and completely non-corrosive. Their use provides secondary reinforcement and protects concrete from stresses which cause cracking while it is most vulnerable during the first 24 hours after placement. Grace Fibers comply with ASTM Designation C 1116 Standard Specification for Fiber-Reinforced Concrete and Shotcrete, Type III Synthetic Fiber-Reinforced Concrete or Shotcrete. They are available in 20 mm (3/4 inch) length.
Uses
Grace Fibers may be used in any application where decreased cracking and improved durability are desired. Specifically such applications include but are not limited to, slabs on grade, elevated slabs on grade, elevated slabs, pavements, overlays, sloped walls, pools, shotcrete, stucco, precast and prestressed concrete products. As secondary reinforcement for crack protection and control Grace Fibers are a superior alternative to, and can eliminate the need for welded wire fabric. Grace Fibers are not recommended to increase joint spacing or as a substitute for any reinforcement required by the Model Building Codes and Standards.
Advantages
Grace Fibers uniformly distribute multi-dimensionally throughout the concrete mixture. The small fibrillated fibers mechanically lock in the fresh concrete matrix providing reinforcement for the mixture while its tensile strength is the weakest. This reinforcement reduces the formation of all types of early cracking. This cracking caused by plastic shrinkage, settlement, and other internal stresses would otherwise permanently weaken the resulting concretes. The concrete permeability is decreased, while the surface characteristics, impact, and toughness properties are improved. Together these effects work synergistically to produce a long-term better quality, more durable and serviceable concrete.

Multicrete Shotcrete Set Accelerator
Description
Multicrete Shotcrete Set Accelerator is a chloride-free, dry powder accelerator designed for use with shotcrete. It is also suitable for use as a set accelerator in some other Portland cement products such as concrete mixes.
Use
- A major use for this product is in accelerated shotcrete for mining, tunneling or rock stabilization operations where rapid set or high early strength are required for structural support.
- Accelerated shotcrete is also used for rapid sealing of water seepage through rock, earth or concrete.
- In situations where rapid installation of a reinforced shotcrete is needed, steel fibre reinforcement can be included in the mix to provide the required performance.
Advantages
- In addition to the advantages of rapid set and high early strength, Multicrete Shotcrete Set Accelerator has the advantage of being less caustic and less hazardous to personnel than the Portland Cement products to which it is added.
- The dry powder form of this product is ideal for dry-process shotcrete applications and provides added convenience for transportation, storage and application.

Silica Fume
Silica Fume is an extremely fine powder having particles 100 times finer than cement particles. Due to the purity of the raw materials used in the production process, the chemicals and physical composition of the Silica Fume remains constant.
Uses
The use of Silica Fume enhanced concrete is recommended for sewage pipes, waste water treatment plants, food and dairy products plants, pulp and paper plants, fertilizer plants and for any concrete work that may be in contact with aggressive chemical products.
Advantages
1. Silica Fume reacts with the weak products of the cement hydration. The pores are finer and better dispersed. The bonding between the cement paste and the aggregate is improved.
2. Improved durability of Silica Fume concrete is the reduction in permeability. This is the result of a very refined and dense microstructure and reduced porosity.
3. Silica Fume concrete is more resistant to chemical aggressive agents of all kinds than ordinary or latex-modified concretes.
4. The direct introduction of the as-delivered Silica Fume into the concrete mixture provides flexibility to the producer in terms of dosage, types of application and anticipated results.
5. Silica Fume is a highly reactive cementitious material that acts at the same time as a filler and a pozzolan.
6. Silica Fume concrete is durable and resistant to freeze-thaw cycles. Silica Fume Concrete with a lower cement content and higher water/cementitious materials ration performs very well after more than 550 freeze-thaw cycles.
