MULTIgrout “Anchor Grout” Resistant to Water Washout for below ground applications.

Product description

MultiGrout Anchor Grout is an un-sanded, cement-based expanding grout containing silica fume (microsilica) and other carefully selected additives. MultiGrout Anchor Grout gains strength quickly and resists water washout, making it ideal for anchoring tendons, cables and bolts into soil or rock media.
Features and benefits
•Pumps easily and tends to gel after placement
•Freese/thaw durability
•Superior bond
•Non-corrosive
•Excellent performance in colder temperatures down to 5°C.

Uses

MultiGrout Anchor Grout can be used for most grouted anchor requirements, including:

•Earth tiebacks for excavation and slope stabilization

•Rock bolts or soil anchors in tunnel support systems

•Soil or rock tendons used for anchoring piles or foundation structures

•Infill of pipe piles

•Below ground applications where a longer pot life and more flowable product is needed

Advantages

High early strength: MultiGrout Anchor Grout has superior early strength gain compared to Type 30 grouts, allowing early tensioning of anchors. It has comparable strength gain to high alumina grouts, but does not experience strength regression.

Resistance to water washout: MultiGrout Anchor Grout has excellent cohesive properties. It resists washout or dilution by water and thus can be used in wet ground conditions and still retain its excellent physical properties.

Reduced Grout Times: MultiGrout Anchor Grout has thixotropic properties. It tends to gel after placement or pumping. This gelling action prevents the loss of grout in porous or fractured geology.

Positive expansion: MultiGrout Anchor Grout’s positive expansion ensures contact between host material and any anchors used to improve ground stability.

Mixing water content
Recommended Water Qty/20 kg bag
Flowable: .25wcm 5.0 litres (1.32 US gal)
Over watering will result in compressive strengths and
inferior physical properties.

Application
MultiGrout Anchor Grout’s thixotropic properties make the grout appear thick and cohesive when in fact it is quite pumpable.
Step 1: Introduce potable water into a high shear mixer or a paddle hand mixer, and then add MultiGrout Anchor Grout while operating at medium speed.
Step 2: Mix at high speed for a maximum of five minutes.

Packaging
MultiGrout Anchor Grout is packaged in 20 kg bags. All MultiGrout Anchor Grout packaged materials can be custom packaged to meet specific project requirements.

Multicrete™ Thermal 50 Grout For Wellbore Application

In an environment where wellbore temperatures exceed 115°C, due to well depth, processes such as steam flooding, etc., there is a need for a special cement. Under these types of conditions, regular cement undergoes severe chemical structural changes causing a rapid breakdown of the cement integrity. Multicrete™ Thermal 50 Grout overcomes this degradation by blending higher content of silica (SiO2), which extends the Thermal ‘50’s stability to extreme temperatures up to +/-260°C.

Properties
  • Appearance is a fine textured greyish-white powder
  • Composition is a combination of Type 50 cement and silica flour
  • Bulk Density is 0.740 m3/ton
  • Solubility is that the product is insoluble in water pH ranges between 10-12 (in fresh water)
  • Water requirement to mix product is 0.40 m3/ton
  • Product is a Thermally Stable Oilwell Cement

Mixing and Handling
Storage Precautions

Thermal Cement is not hazardous. Keep dry and avoid excessive humid conditions. Best stored in cool, dry place.

Handling Precautions

When mixing with water, some heat will occur due to heat of hydration process. Mix continuously once started. Mixed it is caustic in nature pH 10-12, can cause burns to eyes and skin. Wearing appropriate PPE is a must. See SDS sheet for further information.

Polyurethane Water Cut-off & Soil Stabilization Grout is made of polyurethane, which reacts with water by expanding. The cured product is a cellular material.

Uses

This grout is extremely well suited for the filling of large cavernous spaces and cracks in stone or concrete structures. Additionally is used for cutting off gushing water of high pressure and speed.

Application

It is composed of two components, which are supplied separately, in order to achieve a longer shelf life. Component A contains a polyisocyanate. Component B is an accelerator to increase the geltime. There are two different accelerators B and Bs available to adjust the gel-time individually.

Polyurethane Water Cut-Off & Soil Stabilization Grout can also be used as an effective chemical grout for soil stabilization.

The moisture content of the soil must be sufficient to ensure reaction of the material.

The stabilized soil will be of a content volume and will be insensitive to moisture or dryness.
